    Donating to LPF

Hey Avery, LPF is still getting my 5 bux/month. But my 'supporter' tag is gone and.....pop-ups galore. wazzup? <snivel, whine>

    Tiny RGB

While I would buy one in a heartbeat @ $140 I'm not THAT naiive 🙃 For the work that went into that $1400 would be....not unreasonable for that kind of hand assembled and aligned workmanship. Huge kudos for what you've accomplished there!

    Tiny RGB

I thought $140 sounded too good to be true :) Damn nice work though! If I happen to have a couple extra grand land in my pocket I'll bite. Love the form factor! What is duty cycle like? How quickly does that itty-bitty host heat up at full power?

PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

That seems to be a power supply only. I don't see the actual laser head in the listing.

    QuaLas arrays (numb12 modules)

I'm guessing it's the diodes themselves. All of the high power MM reds we've seen have had atrocious divergence.

    QuaLas arrays (numb12 modules)

This was looking pretty interesting until I got down to the divergence of the red :-(

    Tiny RGB

Seems like Sanwu's RGB handheld just got some competition🥳

Beginner in the laser hobby, wondering what I can upgrade to eventually.

Might try: https://www.tinkerlasers.com/ The web special for his Valkyrie 573 is a steal.

Using a microwave for metal vapor crystal deposition?

Semiconductor fabs do it all the time, but in ultra high vacuum conditions.

    Tiny RGB

I think we now know the answer to the question about where he gets all those marvelous toys........... Nice work!

    QuaLas arrays (numb12 modules)

I just want an RGB in a TO-5 can. 1 watt of balanced white. Is that too much to ask for? :)

    Yellow 573nm DPSS Laser Modules

I was under the impression the crystals in the Lasence yellows were hygroscopic and would be ruined by exposure to ambient air.

Someone can help me to find 70w+ laser site

People might be more willing to answer your questions if we knew more about you. Try an introduction in the 'Welcome' section. A 70 watt handheld is not a laser pointer. It is a tool or a weapon. They are also the kind of things that might eventually get our hobby banned so people here are a...

    Hello from a novice

Peice o' cake Paul. Rugedized outdoor roomba robot+camera+image recognition software trained on the * pattern of a dandilion+125W laser array=dead dandilions. And lots of lawn fires, and lawsuits. Not saying there wouldn't be.....challenges. But I can dream!

    Hello from a novice

If it's an automated weed killing drone that can roam the backyard like an outdoor roomba and zap dandilions sign me up!

Tinker Tavern - Valkyrie & more now available at tinkerlasers.com!

Could you include divergence specs for your (very nice!) toys in the future?

    Hello from a novice

Welcome! What kind of project? Lasers seem to be involved in 4 types of endeavor: Physics, communications, materials processing, and weapons. Which one(s) did I miss?

Using ND filter to dim a 60-70mw 488nm-492nm laser

You use the term 'multimode lasers' a couple of times. I think you mean multimode drivers. A multimode laser is one that does not have a nice, clean, single mode gaussian beam. The increased divergence of multimode diodes has nothing to do with whether or not the driver will operate at more...
