Good news, i found a guy selling some new NST's he has 4 of them, he listed the like this. 1x 5kV, 30mA 2x 6kV, 30mA 1x 8kV, 30mA Anyway i asked for photos of each one and found something interesting. I found on the 5kV NST it said "5000-E-5000" meaning there is 2 windings 5kV each! Also...

Re-wound and re-tuned my primary to suite a smaller capacitance as Sigurthr advised. Ive tripled the spark length now :D any thanks to Sigurthr :D

hmmm so the tank cap isnt getting fully charged? putting 4 caps in parrallel will render 120nF.. Dont you means in series? 3 in series should get me 10nF? Ill have to rewind the primary coil for that i have 3 turns atm, is it better to have more than that you reckon? Edit jut ran JavaTC again...

gave it a test run with the pancake coil and tuned it a bit, here's some results, its resonating at ~520kHz.

Great Job! The mini coil is cute :D i see people making capacitors from beer bottles, aluminium foil and salt water, maybe should look at that, you need to get your capacitance up to lower the resonant frequency for bigger arcs.
