Hi Ben! Welcome to the forum! Yes, as the link describes, the blue is 473nm. I do have details regarding my optics mounts here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f49/mounts-optics-47355.html More laser pics and beam demos at my laser page here: Roosl's Lasers I got the optics (a nice set of...

NEW Viasho Group buy #2 (Completed)

Re: NEW Viasho Group buy #1 Hey, Jack indicated this in the initial post: Here: http://www.optotronics.com/contact.php He is a concientious guy, albeit somewhat busy. I'm sure he'll answer your questions. The date 2/5/2010 is Feb 5 (common US date format).

    How sanitary are you? (Hands)

The unknowns on other people's hands, and what they touch before you touch it, are the scary reasons to wash your hands often. At work, I like having a bottle of that water-less hand sanitizer at my desk. When I get back to my desk, even after only touching door handles, I use that. The guy...

    Optotronics VS LaserGlow

I've been meaning to ask Jack... My RPL-400 has the adjustable tail. Settings are 1 - 9. He indicated on the test results that the optimum diode current level is 5, which is where it averaged 422mW. So, I was wondering, without the adjustable cap, what level is the same laser? Is it always the...

    Optotronics VS LaserGlow

Hey, I will chime in and agree with DLMB, that Optotronics is the way to go. I can only speak from my experience with Optotronics, which is excellent. I have no 1st hand knowledge regarding Laserglow. Jack is a great guy to work with, is in Colorado, so shipping is fast and easy, and he is well...

    Post interesting band names.

Well, since this doesn't indicate it must be a current band or one that gets air play.. When I formed my first adult band in St. Louis, we had practice on Friday nights in my basement studio, and we also made a party of it. We quickly learned how alcohol affected our timing. In the meantime...

    Earthquakes

Grew up in Memphis, TN, and lived in the St. Louis, MO area. Both are affected by the New Madrid fault. I've felt several, though none I recall were very strong.

    Re-Do The FAQ?

Yes, I agree. There is some outdated stuff there as well as stuff to add, as you say. As a relative n00b, I'd be willing to help as much as, and in those areas where, you think I may be of benefit. Maybe you want to setup a Suggestions for the FAQ or have Suggestions here? In any case, I...

    possibility of eye damage?

This would never happen. Kids who wanna play Luke -vs- Darth would never wear something that prevents them from seeing the beam! Might as well tell them to play without the batteries installed. If this is a true story, it's better to take away the lasers and tell Uncle Dumas to keep them until...

    Donating to LPF

Yeah, didn't think about that. At the time, it seemed Avery had his sleeves rolled up (Ice Storm must have been providing up to the minute details). Anyway, you're right - that should be the case! :D

So Can't decide! What would you buy?

Keep in mind that these in the Viasho GB are not RPLs. They are, however, what an RPL is made from. RPLs start with the Viasho, but have better components, better warranty, QC, Jack's TLC and stateside (Mead, Colorado) customer service.
