    1W 445nm Revolver Style

Do NOT buy from Aliexpress! They have a well deserved reputation for shit lasers that are consistently under-spec.

    A Few Pics

Hey, hwang21...great shots! Let me recommend Imgur to you, as you can host them, embed them, and even edit them, all in the same interface! Then you can actually have properly sized images, right in your posts.

New Hosts Added 3/16/14: Mrcrouse's Completely Custom Hosts - 5A Foward Switches

Re: FS: Mrcrouse's Completely Custom Hosts - Fresh off the Lathe Wow, Mike! I mean....WOW! These are beautiful hosts! I'd love the opportunity to build with one. As I am saving my shekels for a new car, I can't have one of my own, for now. But, if anyone wants one of these, built by me, I'm...

New Phase of Humanity: MIND CONTROL MADE POSSIBLE!

I suppose you guys all missed the news out of MIT, where they've finally made a non-invasive brain to brain interface, allowing humans to control the brains of animals....

    1W 445nm Revolver Style

You're going to have to wait for someone who has experience dealing with a particular site. Many of us build our own lasers, or buy them from the members here, so as to avoid getting ripped off from retailers.

    Apologies

Thanks, guys. You are all so very nice and supportive! I'm looking at you, Isaac, with your genius threads all over the place...and Grainde, coming up with a master list of scammers, to help out the forum. You guys, and the rest, make this such a great place to be. I'm hoping that since I will...

    Apologies

Thank you, Leo. There is no need to worry about me. Self-destruction is not my thing. It's just not the easiest of times. I see members, with the same time I have on the forum coming up with such valuable and worthwhile threads. I just wish I had it in me, right now, to contribute in the same...

    $600 473nm diodes

I like your optimism...I hope some of it will rub off.

    $600 473nm diodes

Thank you, LtKernelPanic. I had no illusions to a multi-line diode, as I am not even aware that it could exist. I was merely looking for a comparison. I like the 473, but when dollars come into being a factor, I have to pick one. After re-viewing the beamshots here and elsewhere, it seems a 488...

    Apologies

Hello, all. I'd like to make my apologies for not being active lately. I was able to participate often while I had a wonderful assistant, combined with a slow period at work. I had it made. I had my bench PSU, heatsinked Ophir, great DMM, diode test/punishment heatsink, tripods, clamps, orders...

    $600 473nm diodes

Oh, if I can get a single-line 488 for a couple of hundred $, I am all in! DAVE!!!.....

    Bad business with tonyt!!!

My apologies to all involved in TonyT's shenanigans. I hope everybody can get some resolve. If there's anything I can do for any one of you, just let me know. Hak, any chance I can get you to stop by CT for me to visit Matthew Durant? I still haven't gotten revolve from that bastard and he's...

    Cameron from Spokane Wa!

Welcome to the forum, Cameron! This place is a vault of knowledge, and your willingness to learn is the only key. It's a pleasure to see someone from Spokane here. I grew up in Spokane as a kid, and moved away in '81, after putting up with Mt. St. Helens' ash for a year. I get up there...

    $600 473nm diodes

Do any of you wavelength collectors have beam-comparison shots of a 473nm vs a 488nm? I am determined to get one, after a new car, and want some idea of what to look for so I can make the choice. Also, do the ion 488s come only as the high-dollar multi-line variety, or are there single-line...

SOLD: 3W+ Offroad's MSSSW *Full kit with case etc.* ''with 532nm, 24Hour offer!''

Re: FS: 3W+ Offroad's MSSSW *Full kit with case etc.* That's a great deal, ORF! The SSW looks nice in the stubbier, single 3.7V design! I wouldn't mind having that in my collection.

Congrats again, Speedy on the spawn, and now, for the laser! Isaac is one of the most generous, and kind members we have here. We are lucky to have him.

First build - blue laser pointer , fail

Also, buy good batteries. If you're using CR123 (16340) batteries, and driving 2A, you should ONLY be using high-quality batteries, like AW IMR. I learned this the hard way.
