I agree with Asherz, Windows 7 is an awesome OS, and this is coming from a Mac user. LOL. Just don't tell Steve. ;) Plus if you're a student, or know someone who is one, they can't a full retail copy of Windows 7 for $30. At least I'm pretty sure that promotion is still going on....

You can try switching out the mobo... You can try contacting Acer/Microsoft support again Or you can purchase another copy of Vista Those are your options.

Yeah you could always use an activator. That's what I would do...

So help me understand this. You bought a system with vista installed, recently upgraded the mobo, and now Microsoft says it's not valid? Did you computer come with any system restore disks? Also if worst comes to worst, you can google an activator for Vista. PM me if you want to go that route.

My GF thought my Blu-Ray was pretty cool, but she really doesn't care about them much. We were talking about it last night actually, all she said was, "As long as your happy." We'll see how long that lasts. LOL On the other hand my Dad and my friends all love them. :D
