My problems were batteries! Solved! I hope.

I use them for some lasers. No issues

I want to buy a “cheap” green laser where the beam is super strong

And the spelling of "pritty" also had me worried. and agreed with the 8 posts in a row, no patience or focus. In either case I agree OTHER THAN the profanity (of which this 60 year old is not a fan) :)

4' vs 6' neither is really "short"

How to make a Driver laser?

You need to learn to do your own research, this is an easy find. https://laserpointerforums.com/threads/the-absolute-cheapest-proper-diode-driver.107361/#post-1599983

Source for 575nm and 565nm OPTlaser modules

Thanks for this thread, it is awesome. I have a 575nm yellow labby. But knowing they are out there is great.

    Looking for new projects

very true, galvos offer more options but with a couple spinning mirrors you can do a lot

    Looking for new projects

Creating or even just adding a set of galvos for a laser that can be controlled would be very interesting for your son as you can do kalidescope type designs along with other patterns

589nm Spartan Yellow Laser — Review, Pictures, LPM Data

589nm looks great in pics but 575nm always looks wrong in pics. Always looks greenish instead of lemon yellow. Enjoy the laser and be VERY careful not to drop it :)

589nm Spartan Yellow Laser — Review, Pictures, LPM Data

Very cool handheld 589nm - WOW nice power output. I just bought a lab 575nm on here a couple weeks ago but power is much lower than your handheld. My two yellow HeNe lasers are in the low mw power but the similar color is beautiful almost like a liquid sun. The 575 is much more lemony :)...

why are there no strong 532nm diodes?

You need to do more research yourself as stated above. Your aggressive comments do not sit well with everyone, some are more tolerant on here than others. Just a kind word and warning on your reputation on this board. It will follow you.

Help modding cheap keychain laser pointer into a 1W monster

4 will kill the diode for sure - 2 or 3 only Each amc7135 will add 350ma of current. If you use 2 you get 700ma, 3 is 1050, 4 is 1400. Laser diodes need a constant current source. They will use as much current as you supply, until it kills them. They aren't very bright! (ha, ha)

Help modding cheap keychain laser pointer into a 1W monster

You can do it but your going to have a couple issues. 1. Biggest issue is going to be heat both on the diode and the driver on that small of a host with large output. If you limit/watch the duty cycle you can probably do it. 2. Battery life, with a small host, you are limited to a small battery...

    Magenta laser build

You will have the best chance with single mode diodes (vs multimode). what you are asking for is basically what a decent quality projector is doing with 3 diodes (or more). You will never get perfection, but you can get a very good beam that will stay true to color for the range of your vision...

how powerful is a 1 watt green laser pointer

After reading all your posts in different sections I am very worried about you! My first guess is you didn't come here before ordering a "500 mw" laser and that you paid too much for a piece of junk that is probably only about 40-50mw. Second guess is that you will hurt yourself or someone...

Looking for: Beginner's Guide to a Simple Laser Pointer, Ideally with a one-stop shop for the related parts

Start with a simple red laser diode they are the most basic. 1. Get the diode A 650nm (color) diode is easy to find and inexpensive - try eBay. You are looking for an LPC-826 or LPC-836 These are 5.6 mm diodes 2. Get an Aixiz style housing to mount the diode in It needs to be for a 5.6 mm...

    UV handheld lasers

Wow, try searching, it works well. First item on eBay, took 5 sec - blue laser - popped up all kinds of 405 lasers https://www.ebay.com/itm/203580335900?hash=item2f6655671c:g:EqsAAOSwe5lgGXuT

be careful with that. lasers on drones could get you in trouble several ways.

someone just gave away one of them on the east coast. I just about snagged it, but decided, I don't have the room, or facility to take proper care of it. Those are awesome, but huge lasers. You NEED to run it on a regular basis to keep it happy. Very few of them are running anymore because of...
