seoguy,
I'm glad that I read your unprovoked attacks on lasersbee

before you posted the diatribe...
Most cases? I measured 22% on one of mine. Others have reported a similar percentage. It does depend on the laser. If you have data to back up your statement I would be interested.
That is incorrect when you are wearing goggles that block only the green. In that case the green is blocked...
Steve, thanks for visiting and for the helpful info.
Your link seems to have gotten mangled. Here it is in full

It really boils down to just one issue: can those attachments be deleted?
If they can, it fixes both problems. You just edit the post to add the attachement back in. Then the attachment will display properly.
BTW, it has been incorrectly said that the new attachments don't display properly...
Avery, to maintain an article on a DIY laser power meter project and others, I need to be able to edit the picture attachments in posts that were imported from the old LPF.
You can see one of the posts I am talking about here...
I had 10 rep points and 108 posts. I know that isn't much, but I can see that I will need the points back if I am going to do anything on this forum.
You can see an old post and rep here:

To LPF:
I had let this slide, believing that it was for the good of the forum.
seoguy has attacked me again, this time calling me a liar. I think my record speaks for itself. Here is my last post:

Thanks.
Thanks for posting the link, they look good.
Just a note that the googles they sell for 532 nm (green) lasers appear to be transparent to IR, so if your green laser lacks an IR filter it MIGHT be more dangerous to wear the goggles while using that laser than not wearing the goggles at all...
seoguy, I understand now what your method is doing.
I did some tests on the old LPF which suggests that vBulletin has its own (copied) set of attachment files and is not just linking to the old ones.
If that is true, wouldn't it mean that cOld would have to keep the terabytes of old files...
Thanks cOld. Is there any way we can delete these pictures? Then maybe we could re-attach them.
Or is they any way we can edit them, even if they won't show as inline?
I don't actually care if they are inline, but I would like to be able to change the pictures. I can change the text of the...
This is a very nice and helpful tutorial, seoguy.
I am confused, though. Wasn't that covered in this thread by rog8811:
Getting old pictures to show.
where you pointed out:
I had mentioned in that thread:
That thread was left with everyone agreeing "that it isn't the answer."

I don't know if anyone is still interested in this subject, but I dredged this up out of Sam's Laser FAQ. It confirms some of my points, but also adds some interesting ones as well:

Getting back to the OP's original question...
Any chance you have put a switch between the diode and the driver? Many people have done this, and it can kill the diode.
A loose connection there can do the same thing.
