Goggles schmoggles.. Have you heard of people loosing their vision due to playing with lasers? I don't think they're required as superstition goes. When you're old, you're supposed to be blind... :o
Re: FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
It's the standard AixiZ housing, so I guess it's the standard red coated lens. I'm not really sure what's involved in changing out the lens to a 405 coated one. It'd be nice if the new lens was already inside the plastic module with threads...
Re: FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
Aww yea.. Lit me some fireworks at about 3 feet away in a couple of seconds.
The neighbors were wondering what the heck was going on... ::)
It's crazy lighting objects on fire with light. 8-)
Re: FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
Yes, they will all be set to the higher current. This model and previous models can set to any current. All you need is a volt meter and a tiny screwdriver. One little turn clockwise and instant current boost.
Re: FS: 70mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
Heh... Look again.... 778/8... [smiley=evil.gif]
btw, I changed the title & 1st post to reflect current power ratings.
Re: FS: 80-90mW blu-ray pen style
Of course the 803t. What else is there for that price, the 804t!? [smiley=beer.gif]
Everything by default is now going to use the 803t. [smiley=engel017.gif]
It's just a matter of features at this point. [smiley=evil.gif]
Re: FS: 70mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
Do you have a volt meter? If you're willing to poke around the inside you can find the mA draw by measuring across the blue resistor. The mV measured will be the mA draw. Be careful not to short anything out. I may have underpowered your unit as...
Re: FS: 70mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
How are you measuring the output? Seems a bit of a low reading. The power should increase while on. Try it when it's nice and warmed up. :)
Re: FS: 70mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
The pictures below are of the lower powered v3.0 which is why it doesn't look as bright as it should.
Once created, these v3.1's aren't here long enough to make some good pics. :o
As for pricing for power adjusting, I'd guess it'd be no more...
Re: FS: 70mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
This particular diode is not capable of IR or red. Only 405nm. There's only 3 leads on this diode. Positive, negative, & case ground which is not used. But it would be neat to have a multi coloured laser. 8-)
That's an option I can do easily...
Re: FS: 70mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser
Aww yea. Infact 3 of those bad boys, 3 USB cables, & 9 tiles are headed your way.. [smiley=evil.gif]
Just remember to tell everyone not to shine it into any aircraft or cars. Especially law enforcement vehicles. There's a news article just...
