thanks your adding your location- over the years there has been some talk of holding a Laser Enthausists Meet( or LEM) somehwere in Canada- never pass one up- they are a great time and its so refreshing to be with others that speak 'Laser'..
I would contact Max about your red and see if he has some help for you- what do you see when looking into the lens with magnifting glass and some additional light ( 4 sure NOT with the laser on) maybe some pics of what youe see on the wall will provide a clue about what happened- but it is never a good thing to shine a laser into a mirror that reflects back into the diode- guess you know that now...len
