Not sure why there seems to be a debate as to the batteries it uses. It was designed to use 2x26500's, and no other. End debate..
This may be the only host he made like this as all his others use different size batteries...

Eyes aren't playing tricks, the batteries are 26500, not 26650 so they are a little shorter.

I have a gently used 1 watt 445nm in an Ehgemus host laser, w/adjustable focus,
G2 lens. Uses the M140 diode pressed into the host, so the entire host is the
heatsink. Comes in a very nice home made case w/2x26500 batteries.

This laser has less than 5 minutes of runtime, uses a NDB7875 diode from dtr, SXD driver set at 2.3a,
G2 lens, 2x18350 batteries and charger. This is a C11 host, and unlike many others uses a side clicky and not an endcap switch.

Though it has been a while, I used to get the mx900 hosts from DTR. He never had them advertisd, and I believe he inherited a bunch from his brother when he went out of business.
They do make great hosts !!!
