Why a laser beam suddenly stops. (revisited)

Sounds like he is describing divergence to me. Also absorption and scattering due to particles in the air.

Does anyone know what tool they use to screw things in with just a 1/10 inch hole in a heatsink?

I've used these in the past with much success. Works when needle nose pliers don't.

    Is this mode hopping?

That looks like an internal reflection more-so than mode hopping. The largest dot is your primary beam and all others are likely reflections. If the dots move/multiply with windage adjustments that also strongly suggests internal reflections. As far as true accuracy/zero is concerned, its...

    WL Spyder 2 disassembly?

Yup, it is possible to remove. It is only a few threads so if you can get it heated up with a heat gun, it might loosen the glue. I got the lens ring out without damage, its just the front ring that unscrews.

    WL Spyder 2 disassembly?

These are threaded and glued in (5 threads on the lens holder) The host is also press fitted together. You will most likely NOT be able to remove the window without damage. I have sucessfully removed the lens window for one of these hosts, by clamping it in a vise and holding it with a large...

Looking for Info on the Wicked Lasers Executive Series

Just some friendly advice. Your instability might be due to poor tolerance in the battery compartment. You can try adding a small piece of aluminum foil inside for a better connection. Sometimes the batteries wiggle around too much and this causes a poor connection. Here's an example in case...

Do the bare modules come with the collimation lens already installed? If not, you may want to consider that als a potential obstacle.

    589 Spartan =trusted member assistance!

Hi Badboybilly! I just wanted to comment and tell you that I hope you can find someone to help you out with your laser. With that eing said, let me add a bit of confidence to this thread. A few years back, I was given a spartan (532nm/Green) that was doing some really funky stuff. The owner...

    Wicked lasers EVO Help!

Sup MassiE46M3, Seen you had this issue a while back and didn't have the time to respond. I have an Evo and only had that issue "once" Turned out to be bad batteries. If you are using fresh batteries, this is not your issue. Aside from the batteries, the only other thing I can think that...

    Need a solvent?

Sorry if I missed any important posts. I have very limited time right now so I'm going to try and be quick. You say that you have a wicked laser that you want to disassemble. You didn't specify which model in OP. Based on a few posts I skimmed, I assume its an Arctic. The reason this is...
