Here is the best of the best (2014 Model) Wicked Laser Spyder III Krypton handheld laser in perfect condtion for $750. It is the full power model (>850mW). It was the last year of the 532NM laser before they went to the 520NM version in 2015. Actual "on-time" is on the order of...
Hello all. Thanks for your replies. I believe this unit to be the 750mW WL Krypton for 2014. As you should all know, all DPSS lasers will show some instability during their warmup. This laser output averages 766mW with a S/D of only 44mW...so I'd say it has a reasonably stable output during...
Used only lightly. In mint condition. Comes with two sets of optional lenses, holster, manual, an extra tailcap and a 10X long range beam expander. Asking $800 for all, but am open to discussion over pricing.
I am curious on the legality of shining a very visible green Class 3+ laser into the sky...assuming it's not purposely directed at any aircraft, buildings, cars or people. I live in the SW USA.
Mainly, I'm curious how they are regarded as they're still pretty rare among the population in...
Maybe, not EXACTLY what you're looking for...but this link discusses the increased power requirements for diodes as the age for the same output. I assume the additional power required will be generated as heat and the start of a very slow-paced "thermal runaway":
Laser Diode Lifetime, Failure...
So...you're telling me that if I store my quality laser and use it only a few times a year, it should theoretically last forever? I understand that ALL electronics degrade over time...especially the dielectric components like capacitors. However, you apparently own enough lasers to know the...
Sorry for perpetuating an OLD thread, but how much of that limited lifespan could have been attributed simply to natural degradation of the diode which occurs even in an unpowered state?
For instance, I have a 2014 Class 4 DPSS 532nm laser that has MAYBE 20 minutes of operating time. Even...
Thanks for a thoughtful response. You're probably right on. For now, I'm going to hold for more. I'm in no hurry to sell, either.
Interesting on eBay, there is a standalone WL 10X BE for $399 with 11 watchers and a complete kit like mine (minus the BE) for $2000 with a hard case and has 7...
Thanks for all your suggestions, but the current offering of WL 520nm lasers are not comparable to the DPSS 532nm laser I have here. I'm surprised many of you posters don't know the difference. The 532nm version has a much tighter beam, brighter to the human eye and requires much more...
Here is a mint condition WL Krypton with an 850mW output in 532nm. It comes with an extra tailswitch, both lens kits, holster, manuals, beam expander, etc. I'm asking $1000, but am open to offers.
PS: If you're on this post to just trash Wicked Lasers, please take it somewhere else. Thanks!
Thanks, but may I ask a silly question: Why do many laser-people not trust WL?
I've had nothing but good luck with them...both their products and support. In fact, their customer support was helpful in even sending me extra parts...for practically nothing more than the postage.
I have their "power output graph" and it seems reasonable. I have a few 200mW greenies (Dragonlaser & Optotronics) and they're significantly dimmer. I have to say that my Krypton does fluctuate a bit on warmup and the WL graph also shows that fact.
Could I trust Jetlaser to be more "honest"...
I'm thinking of ordering a Jetlaser PL-E Pro (532nm). I've been very happy with my Wicked Laser Krypton (>800mW)...especially since I bought it for under $800. Will I be impressed, satisfied or disappointed as I've enjoyed my WL Krypton for several years now. I've been hesitant on ordering...
I was looking at the Wicked Laser webpage and they state that laser diodes have a shelf life of 3-4 years. Two of my beloved greenies (Dragonlaser & WL Krypton) are 2014 vintage. Can I expect them to die in the next few years? I barely use them (<1 minute/day), but try to operate them at...
