Everything I know about them is from their product pages.... but it seems like there shouldn't be a problem, the "200mw" module has free shipping to US like the 5mw pointers.
I might buy 1 module and I'll let you guys know how it is... Maybe I'll pick one up from else where like...
I just checked out Aptlightingworld... Definitely going to go through the whole shop right now.
Makes me wonder how many more stores are out there I don't know about, I got to dig deeper into the forum... Thanks GSS!
Hey everyone,
Anyone know if Deal Extreme's modules are any good? For $23.77, a 200mW 532nm module seems too good to be true. The reviews seem positive overall but doesn't seem like anyone has real experience with lasers.
I came across this because I was looking for some complete modules I...
Hey everyone,
A while back ago, I made an Anakin Skywalker 0.45 scale mini replica lightsaber and it obviously couldn't really capture a true lightsaber. You can check it out here (LINK).
After that build, I decided to create an actual sized lightsaber and what better lightsaber than Luke's...
The angled head piece that has the lens is metal as well as the black cylinder in the middle of the saber. The grips are a really hard plastic that had a matte/soft texture though.
I bought the saber off eBay for about $65 but I was pretty lucky since I bid at the last second... I know that...
 The saber is a little bigger than 4 inches.- Runs on 10440 so it's also really thin.
I'll post a picture of it in my hand.... I now realize that the current pictures doesn't really show off the small host....
Yeah, the whole saber can still be disassembled and so the angled head part of the lightsaber twists to focus. To remove the focusing ring though, the 2 gold/silver bolts acts as a set screw that holds it in place.
In the second group pic at the bottom, the head that holds the lens with...
Hey everybody,
I really wanted a lightsaber laser that was a movie accurate replica but without the burden of the large size... So I bought a .45 scale replica of Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber from Episode II.
First I salvaged the outside parts and fitted it to Sanwu's Pocket Series 445nm...
Hahaha. Yeah, that's the problem. I'm scared to drill into it and others might be too.
I actually didn't even think about sending the pen host with the lightsaber too though. Great idea, thanks!!!
With the rubber grips and extra pieces at the top removed, it's just a shaped hunk of aluminum.
Also, I'm planning on just having the hole drilled through to fit a 0.5 inch diameter pen host I bought from Jayrob. Drill a second hole on the side of the lightsaber where the pen host switch is and...
Hey everybody,
I have a 0.45 scale lightsaber replica that's solid metal... Obviously I want to put a laser in the housing but I'm not confident drilling through a limited edition replica...
Anybody know a drilling service that can do small orders? The replica is about 5 inches long and 0.6...
Yea, I had that in mind of using a battery pack but I never went through with it... maybe next time.
