Hey Rich thanks for the reply, I didn't literally mean a hour I was meaning the entire run time life of the diode before it burns up or starts dimming , but im all ears about what you think would be best for a 5w host and heatsink, I have a heatsink I bought from Rick trent a few years back thats still in working order, its was for a 7w 455nm or 450nm laser , the diode lasted maybe 10hrs total run time with 30s on and 60s off , I really think it burned out kinda fast but I dont know all that much about laser diodes but I love the technology! So any suggestions on what you think will be most efficient and lasts while I would love to know and have you build one for me or at least the host , just let me know what ya think ! Thanks lance
Hi
Ok got it a laser diode should last by manufacturers standards for 10.000 to 20.000 hours. 10 hours total doesn't seem right , he might have took them out of a projector that had many hours on it.
Like I showed you before large sinking is in order the way we use these diodes. This host holds 2X26650 batteries , I also carry those batteries for customers who purchase this type of host .

Does anyone have his contact info? I purchased one as well and want to inquire about upgrades. All I have is a mailing address and I don’t even know if it’s any good anymore
