	I got my superbeast and tried it with some cr123a li-ions. Its bright but next to my $5 overspec geenies its only a bit brighter when it actually warms up.
Not a bad deal for $20 but I wouldnt call it "super"
I could easily have just gotten a low spec unit though...

Bobby I actually think that is somewhat reasonable for the laser to behave like that (especially an $18 one).
 A click-on button replacement would be a great upgrade ...

I hardly ever have a laser on for more than 15 seconds at a time. You turn it on and say "oooh ahhh" and then turn it off. You dont turn it on and then go make diner....

 but it is snowing now, and I have been testing the beam out to the clouds (yes, the little "<5mw" guy is clearly visible out quite a distance).  Note: made sure there were no airplanes, etc.
