Since the arctic is 1W we have to assume the green is 500mW.

Usually there is a max and a min rating on lasers......max on the arctic s3 is listed at 1000mW and the min is listed at 500mW. The average S3 Arctic people received was around 700-800mW ((1000+500)*.5=750mW) so it fits right between those two parameters. And one could assume with the current given information that those numbers will hold true for the green and they will produce a 532nm with an average 750mW pending the site's information doesn't change.

If you look closely at the technical specs page, those are the specs listed for a 445nm laser. ALL the other laser series have 'Three Colors' and the specs listed there. Let's wait for the page to update before we assume anything.

It's DPSS, so it would be a round beam in theory, if it's a good laser. A bad DPSS laser could have any number of funky looking outputs, arising from any number of factors.

I hope so. I have a DL 95mW Viper, but I am looking for something bigger and better. I was looking at the arctic s3 but I didnt like the square beam. Are wicked lasers good quality? Hopefully there will be a review for one of these sometime soon.

The ship date is listed as 11/01/10, so I suspect you'll be waiting a fair while. Wicked's quality is...questionable at times. The Arctics had horrible QC at first but seem to be getting slightly better, only time will tell.

If it's in the S3 host, it'll probably have a duty cycle of 20sec on/2 min off. And eat a GOOD 18650 in less than 20 minutes. It takes a lot of IR to get 1W of green.. and active cooling for it to be even remotely stable. I think the promise of 1W is probably not going to happen in this host.

Yes, it looks like they intent to sell a green in the S3 host, but have not yet gotten around to updating the specs from the 445nm copy-paste.
