I got my 5mW from Led Shoppe. It was listed at $12.99 but I got it for a lower price :p. In all it took about 8 days to ship which, although its a long time isn't as bad as what i've heard people face with dx and those types of places. Led-Shoppe has great customer service. I've heard of them sending free lasers if you say that the one you recived was underpowerd or obtained.

  • Anways I am very impressed with the product. The body itself looks a lot like the dx lasers, exept instead of being all black, the back half is a billit type metal. It feels good to hold too, it has some weight to it.
  • The beam looks great, you can faintly see it in a lighted room and in the dim and dark it is clearly visible, like a light saber :drunk:
  • One problem I can see is that there is a small artifact on the side of the dot. Its visible in my pictures.
  • I havn't tried burning anything but I doubt it will since its a 5mW.

Heres a pic of the beam in the light, followed by dim.

I decided to test out the power of it through trying to burn stuff :)

I was able to punch holes through electrical tape and smoke the black part of a CD case with it after like 5-10 seconds of shining it at it. Any idea on what the power is?

Rough estimate around 30-50mw! I dont have an lpm but my laser at 50mw could do that stuff! It is hard to gauge a lasers power by burning things
