Thanks for the replies! I'll be sure to do some searching before throwing out common Q's...
And I'm not planning on really using my 200mW greenie before i get some googles, I don't plan on blinding pilots though, jeeze those people who shine lasers at pilots must have some serious problems....:banghead:

Welcome to the forum.
A lot of reading here, as you know. I estimate I've read maybe 40% of the material of this board. And I've read a LOT! 400 Hrs. at least. And 250+ was before I built my first laser.

If you read the instruction manual before you assemble something, it will go together much smoother.

As for glasses. Here is a decent pair that has been tested by members of this board. I believe the consensus was, For a sweeping hit they worked acceptable
but a direct hit would ruin (melt) them.
Not the best by any means but better then nothing.:yabbem:

Thanks, I was looking at them and read the review of them and I'm thinking of getting these, especially sense I don't want to be blinded at 12 . I've read a lot about laser safety and not pointing it at planes and animals etc, and it's not a toy, so no one will need to stress about me blinding some pilot...
