SNAP has never been stopped during a government shutdown. I have no idea what you are talking about, but look it up.

In case you haven't been paying attention, Republicans are being blamed for this shutdown. Even in the kindest poll, Republicans are still losing this. And, many Republican voters are receiving SNAP, so it's not a Democratic issue.

There are at least $5 billion in funds appropriated to fund SNAP during shutdowns like this. It takes about $8 billion to fund SNAP for a month, but these funds are there all the same.

It's now law that able bodied food stamp recipients have to work 80 hours a month, democrats want to circumvent the law and give food stamps to illegal immigrants.
