does anyone know where to get 1 watt 445 m140 diodes?

hello, im trying to make this one watt laser:

the m140 module used in the video isnt on DTR's shop anymore, does anyone have any idea where i can still get these?

"barnett_unlimited" user on eBay has a BOGO sale, 2 for $10 (and change), 4 for ~$20 etc. The diodes are extracted from a used, but low hour diode array. I've bought 10 lots (20 diodes) and they're in good shape, and work as they should. Just 2 of the 20 were *slightly less powerful than the rest

Dtr is still showing the PLTB450B 1.6W diode and complete module and driver setup. His diodes are new unless he quotes other wise.
It is capable of doing 2W+ at 1.8A with a G2 lens and actually has a better beam and spot than the M140. Everyone that ive seen that has this diode seems to agree and love it. People seem to over look it for some reason but it's getting harder to find it these days.
Even with a G2 lens you will find the beam and spot specs are fantastic.
Member Lifetime17 builds some nice hosts that are heatsinked and ready to take a 12mm complete Dtr module. Connect 2 wires and done.

Hey Alex I have to ask, have you pulse driven the 44v2 to 15w ?
I see you have a cnc unit listed at 7w cw and 15w pulse so what results have you seen yourself ?

If I modulate this driver it's still only going to output 5a so I don't see this being able to make 15w pulses, actually it's going to output less than simply running CW regardless of pulse width or frequency unless the driver output was more than 5a when pulsed.......what have you seen ?

That is so true lemme tell ya 450nm may not seems like a big difference compered to 445nm but it is! a touch brighter at mw at night and overall a less eye tiring more present shade of blue IMO and as you mentioned the beam is crisp and thin. I don't need one as I have done a build with it but I might buy a couple spares to have because as you mentioned they are getting kinda hard to find. Btw this is how it looks OP:

Yeah I just bough a pair from that seller. I’ve had them up pretty high but it seems almost impossible to pull in a tight beam. It seems like a wide flat beam. Might just be the ones I got. But he ships super fast too. I got mine within 48 hrs.

What lens are you using?

What? Aren't you using the standard MX9 threaded lens with an 12mm module?

Yea none of these are good for the m140s the silver ones may be decent but it looks like they are a single elemtn acrylic for red. So yea the lens is your problem mate pick up some 3 elemnt lenses for blue from dtr its the Dtr-3E-B Edit: the g8 lens is also a very good option if you have the extra $$ it gives you similar results to the 3E but has 18% more pass efficiency.

A nice new proper 12mm copper module also goes a long way
