...and I must say, it came out rather well! I've got to pull the barrel one last time for a final powder coat, but
other than that...IT LIVES!

This shot was only 3/8 oz. of powder, that's as loud as I dare go in the back yard. I have taken it
out to the country, and gotten it up to 1 oz. It shakes yer bones at that load, and I'm working it up to
a maximum load of ~2 oz. I can't even imagine how loud that's gonna be. So far no signs of distress on
the barrel, but after I reach the 2 oz blank load....then come the projectiles, and MUCH higher barrel
pressures (and smaller loads...smaller by half)! But she's belching fire and smoke like any good little
self-respecting cannon should!
I'll get another vid up when I reach max load, then others as projectile tests commence.
Enjoy!

AWEsome Kev!!!
Saw some forums... one makes it very clear from day one that..pipes w/ caps, breechloaders etc are NOT what that forum is about..
(I betcha most members did that at one time). I made a pipe & cap 'cannon' that shot golfballs beyond sight and 'powered' with the 'old type' cherry bombs and M-80s ... the ones made today are much less powerful.. AND what we were doing was extremely foolish..
len

ps still have both eyes and all 10 fingers.
I bet you are planning to add lasers and take full advantage of all that swell smoke --count me in.
see you soon

Yes Hak...smokeless powder is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS in homemade cannons! Let me repeat that for clarity...SMOKELESS POWDER IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IN HOMEMADE CANNONS! This shoots very large grain, slow burning, black powder, with an added filler of flour for extra smoke and fire. And it makes ONE HELL OF A BOOM!

Breech loaders are strictly verbotten for the average civilian, but black powder, muzzle loading cannons are not even classified as firearms. Perfectly legal to own and shoot, provided no exploding projectiles are ever used.

The main thing to remember is...SMOKELESS POWDER IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IN HOMEMADE CANNONS!

I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Just fired another 3/8 in the back yard, as a matter of fact. And you know what...it FELT AS GOOD AS THE VERY FIRST TIME!:ROFLMAO:

EDIT:
By the by...it IS sort of laser related....I light the fuse with an 07E.
