Do not do business w/ WarnLaser! Here's what happened to me: This is a warning: Do not buy anything from Chen Wenjie (Zachary TurtenWald). I asked for a refund and mailed the laser back to him per his instructions. He never picked it up upon arrival and it was returned 4 months later to my return address. He/they have since refused to refund my purchase even after I told him to send a return label. The laser 3W IR didn't have a focus of more than 8 inches. Until I receive a refund, I'm warning everyone away from this rip off artist!!!

So what was wrong with the laser? What do you mean by "Didn't have a focus of more than 8 inches"?

I agree, it's best to avoid warnlaser - just trying to get the whole story. :D

Should have done a charge back with PP/Credit Card - if things are taking too long to sort out and you've already shipped the laser back that's the safest course of action.

Chen Wenjie provided instructions for return which I followed and shipped back to China. Chen Wenjie never accepted the parcel which was returned to me 4 months later and I just received early this week. The laser focus point is 8" from the end of the barrel and non-focusable at any distance past that. Only good for lighting matchs which I did not spend money to do that.

i actually bought mine there. they even shipped me a new one free of charge then the first one went on the frits. (must have kept it on too long. you got this weird pattern) wich reminds me i should have 2 of them.

anyway. i found this thread after trying to find warnlasers again because i wanted to buy a new lens. (unless i can just use superglue to keep this one in place.)
but it seems the site is down.
(home page just displays. "why even f*cking bother")

what is the best place for me to look for lasers and parts? (ships to or based in europe)

Without a photo nobody has a clue as to what laser you are taking about.
warnlaser was just a reseller who misrepresented products and charged ridiculously high prices ---chances are even if they were still in business they would not have replacement lenses for any of the lasers they were reselling.

try eBay vendors for lenses---many different types and sizes of laser lenses are available

That laser looks just like a #303 that can be had on eBay for $5.00 or less. If you paid more than that, you overpaid. I would check out 532nm laser pointers on eBay and see what you think of those.

So 5 1/2 years later you want to change the lens in a laser bought from an out of business vendor? lol

Unfortunately those pictures are not of much help. It is not recognizable as being from any particular manufacturer.
If you want try changing the lens search on eBay "laser collimating lens" for a lens.
If the problem is still a TEM 01 or 31 problem there is no lens that can correct that, It is a bad quality laser module that needs to be replaced with a good one.

If you want a high quality excellent 532nm laser see: https://www.jetlasers.org/pl-e-mini...hanical/52-10x_beam_expander-no/49-goggles-no

Good idea check eBay for 532nm laser pointers ---maybe you will find a low end low cost laser the suits your purpose.

you do know this thread is 2+years old??.. correct?
Doubtful Warn has evolved into a good place to buy.

yes to the superglue ...perfect for optics....-- NOT!
that stuff is a lens killer.. use epoxy or E3000.
or anything but superglue.

That's also true. Super glue is cyanoacrylate and will dissolve any acrylic lens it comes in contact with. It will also deposit onto glass lenses because the fumes are vapor products of the glue itself.

i was just mentioning that the website doesn't even exist anymore. and then explaining how i got to this thread.
i wasn't actually asking for help. i was just looking for a replacement lens and ended up here when i googled warnlaser

and after realising the site was down. i gave up on a replacement lens. and just asked for the current best place to buy lasers and parts. a similar site basicly but then a non scam trusted one.

it's a 200mw laser.
it can light sigarettes.

but no i didn't pay much for it. but also not as little as 5 bucks. then again it was about 6 years ago.

that #303 looks like a toy to me though. this one does not.

i finnaly find a picture of it online. hoping to get some sort of type number with it.
http://prntscr.com/kzlu1b but it's another dead end. a picture that only exists in google's search results.

anyway thanks for the link to the good and bad sites. really usefull.

i guess my laser is a thing of the past. no longer sold anywhere. and all the shipping e-mails said was.. 200mw green laser from warnlaser morfling series.

but it was probbably sold elseware aswel.

It is highly unlikely your laser from warnlaser actually measured 200 mW. Did you measure it on one of your calibrated laser power meters? You can light cigarettes with a 50 mW laser that will focus to a point at a few inches distant from the laser. I was trying to help you out with my recommendations, but if you are satisfied with these overpriced Chinese lasers with ridiculous claims of output power, I won't bother with you again.

I looked at your new link and it looks just like a #303 laser with the key switch on the tail cap. No way that was 200 mW.
