Alright! So my host from Trinh came in and I decided to get my new laser into it ASAP!

The host is very well made, but has some minor fabrication scars. I absolutely love it regardless and it is nice and heavy, good for a large build.

The 12mm Module fits in EXTREMELY snug so it should stay very well heatsinked, The set screw was almost unnecessary because of how tight the fit was.
The aluminum body is thick and heavy, yet still lighter than it looks.

The copper module doesn't actually directly wire into the button section. The copper module has a contact board+spring that goes onto the bottom which touches the contact board on top of the button section. This is great as Trinh also sent me an extra aluminum module so I can freely switch them back and forth as I please.

The tail cap and momentary button section are both nicely threaded and tapped. The buttons also work nicely and provide a nice safety feature in that the bottom switch must be on for the momentary switch to work.

As someone who works with metals and unique fabrications daily, this is some nice precision work. Could be a little cleaner with the small scars, but beautiful none the less.

This is the new NUBM47 Diode, and it has a BlackBuck 6 Driver, set at 5A with a DTR G2.

Just showing it off some :D Hope you like it.

I'll be doing review on my transactions with Trinh in the other section here in a moment.

Thanks for looking!

Pretty nice looking host. What driver did you use and what current was it set for? Also, what lens did you use? Not bad.

Nice looking host and build, LDB! :yh:
That host is larger than I thought it would be, it pretty much dwarfs the fake spiker host, I'll bet it must be 12"~14" long.
Thanks for sharing. :D

It is just over 1Ft long while the spiker is just under 10 inches :)

So you went for the most power, then. It is likely doing better than 7 watts with a whole lot of waste heat. Are you planning on some beam correction with cyl lenses? With a G-2, it has got to have a wide divergence along the slow axis.

Absolutely horrible divergeance. I'll definitely look into some corrective optics in the future, but it'll require some additions to the host.

Great photos.
it all came together well--nice laser :gj:

If you want cleaner machine work--next time tell him you want the extra 1% or 2% done for cleanest possible result.
