this video is show my violet laser V2:

i'm really unbelievable about this!

i have never seen this before, it is in the process of testing all check!

Of course if someone want to property it, you can send message to me!

thanks for watching!:thanks:

this is MM diode 5.6mm , i don't have any infomation model from company! i will call it is V2000 diode
i hope you are interested in this video:

Because the video is embedded in the forum page, with my small screen I am having trouble seeing the power readout digits clearly, did I see over 1800 mw?

Yes, you saw correctly, I saw a max of 1904mW! Don't know what diode that is, but that's about twice what you can normally get for a max reading.

because i'm in the process of testing, so i'm scheduled on its information! sr for the inconvenience:shhh:

That's wild, if you can look closely at the emitter of a normal output diode and that one, I'd be interested in knowing if the emitters are the identical size.

I take it that it is using the higher power multimode diodes then. I'm going to take a pot guess and say its a 9mm NDV7375E being overdriven.

My guess, as well. Has to be a MM 405nm diode. The current SM diodes can't get near that. I am, therefore, more interested in its divergence than anything else. Some of these MM diodes have pretty good divergence specs. Others, not so much.

Well either way, it can't match the specs of a BDR-209 that's for sure.

It won't match the BDR-209's, but if like Paul said, it's a MM with decent divergance, it would pack one heck of a punch at nearly 2W! :D

Hopefully we'll get more info. from thanhtung when he's done testing it out. :yh:

I wonder what the power output on his LPM would show if the laser was about 2 or 3 times farther from the actual sensor?

Oh yes, definitely. :p
That's still a very impressive amount of 405nm photons coming from one diode.

Yep, that's some serious 405nm output!

That is why I am so interested in its beam specs. If it has a reasonably tight beam, it could be worth having one in a build. If it has a large emitter, then it will have one axis diverging much faster than the other and I could live without that.

Could be the Ushio 1.2W diode? or Nichias 1W version
