Hey guys, I stumbled upon this app on wolframalpha where you can type in a wavelength in nm and it shows you an image of that color! Thought I'd share this with you all and post a little spectrum with 5 nm increments of our visible spectrum. Enjoy

*note: im not sure exactly how accurate these colors are but im pretty sure they're close :)

As far as accuracy of the colors, it depends on the monitor you are using to a large degree. I have found that the lasers from 475nm up to 510nm don't really look like the colors on any monitor I've looked at. Until you can see the laser's color personally, this is a poor excuse for what they actually look like. BTW, nice to see you here again. It has been awhile.

yeah well if you don't have any of those lasers then this or a video are your best bet to seeing those specific colors. and yeah I've been pumping away at my lucrative career and have been busy a lot. I got the chemist job I wanted and now im pursuing a doctorate in pharmacy within the next few years

Cool. I have known some PharmD's. Most end up working in pharmacies, though. Good luck with that. :yh:

yeah working in a pharmacy would be great in all but they don't make a lot of money nor do they do any of the fun research. the cool thing is if i get good grades my company will pay for the entire doctorate. Im after being a research scientist for the company i currently work for hopefully developing new treatments and cures to diabetes and cancer

Best get to publishing, then. There are far more PharmD's than those kinds of jobs. I have known a couple who got those kinds of jobs and they were exceptional. Both of them published. One worked for Pfizer.

That's a hell of a good deal, Sean. I had no idea some companies were doing this as it is a significant investment on their part. Hope it works out well for you. :D
