You're welcome Bob. That is a great idea. No light pollution, brilliant star-scape plus a green guide star. What sounds better? :D
In honesty I have no idea whether you would find that easier Bob. The type of correction I was thinking of is prisms and a waveplate for optimum beam spec. But that's not feasible in your setup.
Was that build made by Rick Trent?

Correct, they are Rick Trent builds.

I'm not looking for a perfect melding just 50% better would be nice? The more the merrier though. :)

I thought I recognised the style. :)
Have you checked the focus and alignment as it is possible that it may be higher due to that. If not and that is the end divergence, then either an expander or beam correction is the way forward. It is difficult to tell from the photos, but is there any brighter spots within the beam?

Yea, probably all of the above. I think there's things I can do to improve/tweak them a bit. I can get them closer. But it seems with a simple movement they go out again. Thinking I can fix that part of them?

I had adapter made for them (by Lifetime) so they can fit the Sanwu 3x. They work great, but the picture are of them without the BE's on. Wanted the Lasers in the in the pictures to be shown without the BE's attached.??

Maybe next time I'll grab some with the BE's on. :)

I wonder if anyone else on here has some ideas for you. Alignment can be a real pain. I loath aligning lasers just for them to go out of align again. That adaptor works great, Nice work by Rich there. The expander will help the divergence, but the divergence shouldn't be that high to begin with. Have you had a chance to measure the divergence? The only problem with dual build with diodes like that (without a waveplate) is that now you have a fast axis on both axis's not just one.

Very nice!
I am green with envy .

I don't know if you already answered this or but is the 2.6W 532nm lab module?

It is odd to think that not too long ago we didn't even have direct diode green.

Yes, all suggestion would be welcome. The beam expander does help with the melding.

Was wondering if I spun the 12mm modules in their sink so that both fast axis were in both the same direction. So it wouldn't make a cross, just one solid bar? Or do things not work that way?

Very nice!

Yes it's a labby 532 DPSS module.
It's this one,

It a beauty of a unit, I thank Hap for selling it to me. One of my favorites. :)

It wouldn't work unfortunately Bob. As having both fast axis's the same way wouldn't give the two polarisations for the pbs. You would need a waveplate on one of the beams so you can rotate the polarisation for that to work.

Something told me it wouldn't work or somebody would have thought of it before. So I'll get it as close as I can and see where we're at after that. :)

It will have to wait till my next hometime but I'll keep you informed.:)

Hey bob check out the red diodes in this module.. waveplate cube and c lens'!!!
Also I bring my inverter and projectors camping all the time. So why not your 532 module?4W]4W RGB laser module with 7,5V PSU laser diode 638nm 445nm 520nm | eBay RGB laser module with 7,5V PSU laser diode 638nm 445nm 520nm

Wow, that could make a whole lotta white!

It's the bigger brother of the rgb module Arctic uses in his build.

http://optlasers.com/en/diode-fiber-rgb-modules/161-400mw-micro-rgb-laser-module-0590269311079.html

But a whole lot bigger. :)

I am planning on grabbing an inverter in the furture. So beam shots over the desert are something that's going to happen, just will be a while. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Yea my kvant clubmax 3000 makes just under 3 watts of white. I was using it at a backyard bbq... we were using the beams to light fireworks. I've yet to open it up to check out the optics board.. yet!!

Very cool, I've wanted to see daylight beams for a long time!

Your more than welcome. Had a ball taking them and using my new camera.

Edit@ 10fenny, 3 watts of white! gotta see some pics. Fingers on the  button.

heres a few shots from a house party I did last night. Had lasers going from 10pm till about 4 am.
Kvant 3 watt on the right... d1800 on the left.
my camera kinda freaked out by the beams. but thats ok.
