Yea, they are strong, I like holding steady focused on a live green leaf and watching the steam explode out, you can hear it pop it heats it so fast.

What's really cool is using a G2 focused so needle thin that it cuts sticks so fast and thin that it cuts without imparting energy into the adjacent material and there is no burning, but un focus the spot and pop goes that flame kernel.

Accutronitis, all I can say is that my particular B.E. is not 0.5mm, that pic with the 0.75 was taken trying to balance the gauge on a box top while I photographed it. I know it doesn't look perfect, but it's damn close, you also saw the other photo with the 0.5mm lens barrel next to it, and you can see that those two threads aren't anywhere close to the same.

Now, that is not saying that they are not 0.5mm now, they may very well be!

Please be sure and let us know what yours turns out to be when you get it today; if you don't have your tap yet, just hold a 9 x 0.5mm lens holder up next to it to compare pitches.

Good luck with your B.E. adapter!
This is a "I told you so" moment for BowtieGuy Because I have my beam expander and the M25 x 0.50 tap that I bought just for this beam expanders thread BUT they are NOT the same ! BowtieGuy was right ! The threads are NOT M25 x 0.50 Jetlasers !

I'm assuming BowtieGuy was also right that the threads are in fact M25 x 0.75 like he tried to tell us !

Anything you would like to add Jetlasers ?

I just checked my JET 10X and it's NOT 0.5 pitch either, the threads are wider spaced than 0.5 and less than 1.0, I don't have a 0.75 pitch tap but BowTieGuy's gauge looks correct.

On a separate note I think the 3X sanwu is M11 x 0.5

I have to agree, which leaves me thinking how can Jet lasers be wrong about their own product ??? But their are !

Accutronitis, I'm glad to see that you received your 10X B.E., unfortunately, yours is more than likely just like mine; I was kind of hoping that J/L had changed their product, and that the print on their site was accurite.

That dimension on the print is probably just a mistake that they didn't catch, there are so many threads on these optical components that do use the 0.5mm pitch, that they just slipped up. I've got to imagine that there aren't too many of their customers who even look at that print, let alone use it to make their own parts from. :D

Thanks Red.
Seeing that you mentioned the M11 x 0.5 threads on the Sanwu, I was just thinking, if I'm not mistaken, the threads on the back side of the 12mm copper modules are 11 x 0.5mm also.

I was told by Podo that the correct size is M12 x 0.5....
