What system specifically? There were various models produced.

These are usually arc lamp pumped Nd:YAG with a Q-switch, very dangerous and not something easy to repair/maintain - especially if you have no experience with such systems. There are both electrical and laser hazards with these.

Getting any documentation or help is potentially difficult due to the dangerous nature of such systems, and past incidents with idiots...

For $30 you could sell it or part it out to someone that has another one, depending on model at least. Some folk use them for outdoor projectors.

oh im just looking for a quick buck. i can get the info, it's an auction from my work. large hospital. was used in Operating Rooms I'm pretty sure.

I cant buy it, I dont have a medical salvage license.

If you had a license to be able to buy it or can otherwise obtain it maybe best use would be to sell it in ebay.

As it is--"I cant buy it, I dont have a medical salvage license." says it all----sounds like a $30.00 headache you don't need.

Is not something to play with if you don't know all the rules and regs and liabilites associated with that equipment.
There are several serious considerations which is why a license is required--not the least of which is decontamination certification among others.

Texas Administrative Code, Title 25, Part 1, Chapter 289
" (2) A person who receives, possesses, uses, owns, or acquires radiation machines prior to receiving a certificate of registration is subject to the requirements of this chapter. "
" (9) Registrants using laser radiation machines or performing laser services are subject to the requirements of §289.301 of this title (relating to Registration and Radiation Safety Requirements for Lasers and Intense-Pulsed Light Devices)"

Not sure what model this is but if you're selling it there's a possibility it'll need to be freight or local pickup. Some of these weigh hundreds of pounds, I think the 800 series weighs ~600lbs.

Oooh it's the 800, as I thought. They'll do about 40W 532nm with the Q-switch on, much more at 1064nm with the Q-switch. They'll run CW too, you just lose about 30W output power @ 532nm. Not much use without some fairly complex modifications mind you... at least not for show use.

Thanks, Let them know who sent them there if they decide to pick it up. 15% finder fee sounds appropriate to me :) :na::crackup:
