The Spartans have always seemed to me to be both overspec and reliable. A yellow laser can be fickle, but I would trust a Spartan to do well. I just bought one myself (review to come) and think it will be a quality piece in my collection for some time to come.

Indeed! Once you get it please cool it down (on an AC vent, not the freezer) and check for wavelength shifts. You might be surprised. :D

Re: Proper 16340 Batteries for my 445nm 4W Laser

Done!

593.5 is my LG Rigel-6, avg 3mW, typical peak 6mW, overall peak 8mW.
583.8 is main cold-line of my DL Spartan 589. When it's warming up from a cold start it will only put out this line.
586 and 591 are tertiary DPSS lines of my Spartan, it will put out these 2 lines along with 583.8, 589, and 593.5 when artificially cooled to low temperature, or when in cold weather.

Noted. I'll update your Spartan with these details. :)

Just a heads up Dragon lasers are on discount right now. Not sure by how much since I don't remember how much they were but the spartan 30mw 589nm is going for $359.99.

Thanks for telling the forum Billy! That is a great deal on the 30mW, and the 5mW aurora and 50mW spartan are good deals too. +rep!

So I sent them a message asking if there was any discounts told me no, but they lowered prices on most of their lasers.

I recieved the 50mw Spartan and did a few LPM tests.

Kind of falls off quickly.

Edit. I see I miss named it 80mw...one can wish right?
Edit. I'm going to test with different batteries. If I see a significant difference I may get an AW for it. I'm thinking a HQ low mah rating may be the ticket. So far I have used a Sony VTC5 and an LG OHm work. Or it could just be heat sensitive and need a chilling before use.
Edit. Also this has the most centered and aligned beam I have in my collection. Stoked.

Gah! I want mine to hurry up and ship out already! They just have it "queued" so I assume they'll get around to it soon. Hopefully....

Have fun with yours though:D:D

When it gets to the states call up tnt and get the FedEx tracking so you know when to expect it.

That Spartan drops quite considerably. What temperature was the laser at and was it mode hopping?
