Andrew124C41 may I ask first if the starter cart for the SR-71 consisted of 2 Buick big block motors and what speed was that plane capable of ive heard outrages Mach numbers but it seems no one wants to say the truth. joeyss mabey you know also?

WOW I cannot thank you enough! the 2 links were great. The first engines shown were the Buick 425 ci nailheads as they called them. They werent superhigh horsepower motors but they made alot of torque. The "nailhead name came from the way the valves were small and were put in the heads perfectly perpendicular. You can see how the valve covers were straight up I believe I heard once of something like Mach 5 or 6 I guess only you would know (lol):shhh::yh:
