Virtually any projector can be made to work with any mobile device including iPad or an iPhone provided one has the right connector.

I built a projector out of an old 720p LCD monitor an overhead projector and ~6400K 100W MH bulb. It worked and it used DVI to drive the monitor at full resolution. This is a quite a few years ago in Seoul.
