What do you think of this light?
Because it has not been yet commercialized, I cannot obtain it.

Not a bad idea. Good luck with that color, though.

Would be very easy/cheap to buy a laser with diffraction grating and shine it in front of you. Some gratings are even designed to provide something like a grid.

The closer to the same angle that your eyes view the road, the less drastic and obvious any road surface change would appear.

The same can be achieved with a regular bike light and stereo vision (which many of us have, as I understand)

Wonderful idea!
Wish you good luck with the color, however, the same color is achievable with a stereo vision and regular bike ride.

Seriously? Trying to get your post count high? I dont know about the others, but I find it disturbing to make useless posts...

I was wondering if it was some clever kind of spam bot - that attempts to create a new post based on previous posts in the thread.

Unless you're going to ride under 4mph (to give you time to react to obstacles) this device is utterly useless.

Also, I have no doubt the photo is "digitally enhanced" to fool you into thinking the projected grid is super bright (look how dim it is through the wheel spokes) & no shots of it in motion.

I don't know how good it is but there's a cheap lens sold by AixiZ that fits over standard AixiZ size lenses that makes a smaller grid: Grid lens kit for 12x30mm AixiZ modules, AixiZ it should be easy to test this idea with a laser, it should be possible to make a large grid in front of the bike with that lens if focused properly but I don't know for sure because I don't have one. I doubt though that it would be very useful, I think it could even be dangerous, a driver may think what's that? and take his eyes off the road for a moment and cause an accident.
