If you're getting a flame while engraving, you're going too slow. It would look pretty shitty too, cause you get burn marks around the engraving..... Should have bought the galvo from trotec

I can see it now, the race teams show up at the track, assess the track conditions, weather, and temperature, then program the laser to cut a tread to maximize the current conditions! Custom tires for every situation.

I thought it was the rubber catching fire. So speeding it up would prevent the flame from occurring?

Well, hopefully with this just being a prototype, the process will improve, and the speed will increase!
