I ordered a red laser pointer back in January and eventually got it in February although it wasn't the one I ordered and the batteries I ordered had been removed. I then stupidly ordered a blue laser from him and although he has taken my money it is still "in processing" after 3 weeks. I have sent emails but had no response. So if you value your sanity I recommend that you shop elsewhere.

I have tried to cancel the order but with no communication from his end I don't know how successful this will be. Unfortunately paypal was not an option offered so I have no protection.

It is understandable due to the chineese new year celebrations. During late jan and early-mid feb basically all of china shuts down. It is reccomended that you dont purchase at that time of year as your order will take long. I have purchased fron lazerer recently and i have noticed lack in comms and quality. I prefer laserbtb. However the first place id look before any of these chineese based sites is out very own BST section of the forums. Trustable builders and sellers means quality :D

why would you not have protection if you paid with visa card? you can dispute still...

Most major credit cards will offer protection. I disputed a $350 purchase at a gas station hundreds of miles from where I was at the time. I had a different card company, but they ought to offer similar fraud protection.

I think Paypal will refund you even if there is no money in that account. The problem is proving that a bad transaction took place without proof. Hell, even with proof (like my print-out signature from the Post Office) it isn't enough. You need the right proof, which is usually only reliable if you're buying through eBay. Otherwise, Paypal will probably just say "we can't rule one way or the other" and will screw you out of the funds.

Also, with buying lasers, they may just say "you were buying contraband" and not bother with you too.

Thanks for the comments about Visa and paypal but this is drifting from the subject. I have another warning; lazerer use billingsupportsystem.com to take payment and provide customer support. They advertise 24/7 support but the phone number given is false/dead and they don't respond when you raise a support ticket. This is just an automated process to waste time and to keep you taking action. It's all a big scam from where I'm sitting.
