Hey guys, I am about to begin my first build. I recently purchased a Sony SOJ6 diode in a copper module from DTR as well as a X-boost mini driver set at 450 mA. Now I am looking for a good host to put everything in, specifically the trust fire td-801.

I was wondering however, what I would do about a heatsink for it. Does anyone know if this flashlight host comes with a heatsink already in it, or if not how I could go about getting a proper heatsink to fit this host?

Thanks for the help!

You do not want to go with that host for a first build. TRUST ME

Go with a C8 or C11, the smallest i would go for a first build would be a C6 host.

Heatsinks are all purchasable from Mrcrouse as well as many other machinist here, just use the search bar :)

Its too small for a first build. That is what I said in my post no? I'm not talking difficulty of getting a heat sink, I am talking about the difficulty of the build itself....
