I was thinking, safety glasses need not be OD4 for pilots, especially if the dot is meters wide when it hits. OD2 might work, IDK. maybe not. here's an idea, one way mirrors for the cockpit windows.

Well, sorry to burst your bubble again, but I will have to inform you that, believe it or not, there is no such thing as a one way mirror.

Think about it. If you have all the light bouncing off, there's none to go through, hence you don't see anything.

The effect you see in police interrogation rooms in various shows and movies is plain old normal glass, but the suspect side is lit very brightly, while spectator's side is usually very dark.
