Since I am a relative noob to the forums and chronic lurker, I figured I would give back by chronicling my experience with Lazerer.com.

12/27/2012 (~0000 ET): Order placed for 500mW 405nm (Devil Cyber) w/ "Power Certificate"
12/27/2012 (~0100 ET): Request sent from Lazerer to send PayPal payment to given e-mail and send an e-mail once the payment has been sent
12/27/2012 (~0145 ET): Payment and e-mail sent
12/28/2012 (~2200 ET): Notified that payment was received and my order is being processed (I'm sure this is common knowledge for the most part here, but the status also says it "...will be processed within 7 days." So, it could be a hot second before the next status update.)
01/10/2013 (~0100 ET): Checked status on website at 0155 ET, and my status changed to "Shipped" with the stated date only. There has not been an e-mail notification that it was shipped yet (like the previous status promised), but maybe that will come later on in the morning. A tracking number was also provided which was unexpected considering I chose regular shipping (I'm thinking it's just for the overseas part of shipping?). Either way, I am not at all disappointed with the TAT considering the price of the laser. I'll be sure to make the last update once the package arrives.
01/21/2013 (~0530 ET): I tracked the order with the tracking number this morning, and the website says it arrived in central FL early this morning. I am expecting it to arrive today (although I'm not sure if USPS runs on MLK day), but if not, it most certainly will arrive tomorrow. I'll update once more when it does.
01/22/2013 (~1400 ET): The laser arrived at my house with no damage whatsoever to the packaging. It worked flawlessly, and the power certificate was over spec. Definitely happy all around. Pictures coming soon. I hope this will help someone who is thinking of ordering from Lazerer.

Additional info: I chose the Airmail (or regular) shipping option, and it is being delivered to the Central Florida area.

I'll update the thread accordingly.

Hi, i noticed you and I ordered the same exact laser! But I'm a little worried because I haven't received any emails at all from lazerer for my order and we've even completed the PayPal transaction. I ordered mine with the faster shipping option and was hoping to get a tracking number when its shipped but they aren't even responding to my emails. :( so I hope I hear from them soon.

Did you send an e-mail to that address saying that the given amount had been sent to the PayPal account? It states to do that in the "Payment request just sent." status. That is the only thing that I can think of because everything has been pretty smooth for me so far.

As you can see from the times that I ordered, they were within the regular working hours over in Hong Kong, so that might have also played a role (but of course that is just speculation).

Also, keep in mind there are 3 public holidays in Hong Kong between Dec. 25 and January 1. I won't be upset/worried if mine isn't shipped until January 9-10. Although I do not want to enable them if they read this, I look at it as the sacrifice that is made for paying a GREAT price for a quality laser.

Got "lucky" so no promises. Wouldn't get one without the power certificate.

So just to update, my 405nm laser hasnt shipped yet but I just received my 650nm laser I ordered with normal shipping option back on December 12th.
Date ordered 12/12/12
Date shipped 12/16/12
Arrived at my house Oregon USA 1/2/13

So that's about 21 days including 2 holidays slowing it down. Thought you might like to know :)

Well, if a company has 100 lasers and you ask for a power certificate which one are you likely to get.... one that reads within spec or underspec and if you measure on your own LPM and it's way low then you have recourse to prove it isn't up to their specs.
I personally print out all the info of my units on manufacturers pages including guides and file it all so I can have a record of what it's supposed to be, operating characteristics battery type # of cells etc... besides for case + or - as it is easy to make a diode killing mistake by putting 2 16340's in where you were supposed to use 1 18650. I mark a - in permanent marker inside the end cap on units that are case negative to make sure I don't put the battery in backwards as many units don't have reverse polarity protection.
Own too many units to not track it all. Starts to get very confusing. Easy to make a mistake as your collection grows. Most of us can't stop at 1 laser:D

Not saying one bit that you're going to get ripped off but they are still likely going to sell the underspec ones to someone. It's a nice thing to have though especially if you don't have an LPM.
