Its 1150nm IR , not 550nm.

Its a fiber coupler for fiber optic communications purposes.

Well that sucks - I thought that I might have found a holy grail of some sort or another.

Can you explain why it is listed as 550nm? I don't understand. Thanks!

EDIT: NEVER MIND, I see the 1 550 - missed that because no comma...

Let this die, my bad.

It actually says 1550nm in the datasheet, it just has a misplaced space between the one and five.

Yea, if it were 550nm direct diode at 80mw, that would be a friggin steal!!!
