So I got a couple C6s through Mohrenberg's GB because it was such a steal. :thanks: Thanks Moh! Very nice heatsinks. And the host's that I intended to use for my handful of green modules(The one in the photo is the "50mW" one.) still have not arrived.. :undecided: So, I just figured I could pop the modules into the C6's that showed up on my doorstep, to give me something to do until my other hosts arrive. I think I'll use the C6s for a 445, and a 450. XD
So I bypassed the switches and added springs for the negative contacts, and put a wrap of Etape to insulate the wiring. Then i had to grind off the anodizing in a couple spots, to establish the positive connection. -Only did so on one of the hosts.- That you can kind of see in the photos. Anyway, the module protrudes a tad, and the diode doesn't sit in the heatsink. :/ So I imagine a more powerful build may be too hot for this configuration. I just removed the pill and used a single 16340 to power it. Hope you guys like it! :)

Very nice man! :gj: +1

if you wanted to use a 18650, in the 4th picture the small peice on the left, you can use 2 of them screwed together to get the extra length :)

Thanks man! If I used an extended tube, is there a good way to take up the extra room? Like, longer springs, or a spacer maybe?

>>OOHHH that piece! Cool! Ill give it a shot!

NIce job

+1

But I thinks this build needs sortof focus knobb of somthing to cover the threads is that possible? That would give this build a more "clean look" someting like 3/4 focus from moh

Just my point of view :shhh:

greetings,,

Actually it's a DX module, modified to be like an o-like. IMHO, I would get the o-like version, they are much nicer.. :)

>>@offroadfreak8582.Thanks man! I agree completely! I have a couple focusing rings on the way in fact.
