Hello all, about 2 weeks ago I bit the bullet on finally building a 445nm laser. I bought the Survival Laser 445nm DIY Kit along with a 445nm diode. Once it all arrived I began to all assemble it, but upon inspection the two wires coming from the pill were extremely frail, they almost seemed dry rotted. I continued soldering and finished the laser, yay it works... But not for long, after about a day of use the laser stopped working. I opened it up to see what was the problem, and I found the the wire coming from the driver had broke. It did not break at the solder joint, nor did I handing the driver roughly and yet the wire broke. The problem is, the wire broke very close to the pill meaning there is no room to solder a longer wire to it.
Any ideas what I could do?
[EDIT] Gary CALLED me (on a federal holiday none the less) within 12 hours of sending me sending him an email. I can't thank him enough, I could only wish all company's customer service was like Survival Lasers, it's hands down the best customer service I've ever found.
