its the derpbox one.

PS4 dominates :D

I used to play PC games, but using a handheld console controller instead of a mouse and keyboard, makes the game easier to play for me.

i know some people use PS3 controller on their PC too, i should try that one day.

Not for me. The PS4 is good as far as H/W goes. I just don't like Sony or the PS controllers. I bet a lot of military members will pass on the Xcrap One. You don't always have a good connection if you're lucky enough to have one at all. M$ failed pretty bad.

Try it with an xbox360 controller. There are USB adapters on the market that make you able to controll games with xbox360 controller. Really cool. Some games even have setting for them already

LOL, to me it just sounds stupid, sorry. Keyboard and mouse is about 5x more capable and as much as precise and faster than a gamepad.

Granted, X360 gamepad is really nice, but I don't imagine anything other than handful of games you'd play with that on PC.

It just doesn't sound logically to me to replace 107-key board and analog input controlled by entire hand, with one combo device controlled by thumbs.

But I guess it's just what I grew up with. I contemplated getting a gamepad to play Dark Souls, being a horrible console port but an awesome game, but in the end I decided that a gamepad is just an unneccesary barrier between me and the game. I eventually downloaded some mouse tweak hack programs and learned to play it the Key+mouse way. Now my friends who play it with gamepad (and tried to talk me into playing with it) are jealous because I can navigate entire UI with mouse, which means I get to swap out equipment in bossfights in the time you'd reserve to heal/strike.

I'll just leave this here...

^^ I agree, idk how people use keyboards to play games. like i know where all the keys are and how to use a keyboard to play but i just dont like it. to me its not as comfortable as a controller. when i play games im leaning forward, elbows on knees, in an engaged position and i cant do that with a keyboard

Oh and I love this little bit off the link in OP:

Microsoft said:
However, anyone can play games using your console. "Your friends and family, your guests and acquaintances get unlimited access to all of your games," Microsoft says. "Anyone can play your games on your console--regardless of whether you are logged in or their relationship to you."

LOL, it's like... when was that even in question?! Were they contemplating keying your games to your face recognised via Kinect at one point, but decided that they had few grams too much and backed off the idea?

My main gaming system is my PC but like xbox. With the two new systems comibg out I will unfortunately have to switch to Sony. The way I see it its the xbox dOne. If they sell enough to cover the cost of production it would surprise me.

Wait what? Requiring an internet connection is flat out retarded. They can say goodbye to 1/2 of their sales. Even if most people do have internet, a lot of the time it's too slow or laggy, or even too low a bandwidth cap to have a console connected every time you play it. I haven't had a console since the PS1 and don't intend to, but I know stupid when I hear it :p
If you read the tos of the xbox (Sections 9 and 12), you agree to let them spy on you, this is why they need the internet connection.

My system wouldn't even be able to connect every 24 hours unless I played it every day. The rest of my HT stuff doesn't turn on until I turn the AVR on.

Like they give a crap.

I can't believe they treat "general population" as cookie-cutter made clones. What, everybody has the exact same time to play, same internet access, same financial status, same circuimstances that allow these retarded rules to exist?

What the hell? What if I am only home at weekends? What if I lose internet connection for few days? What if I want to sell the console because of one reason or other? What if I don't want to play anything with guddamn "Kinect"? What if I'm too short on money and I want to buy second-hand games?

Was it ever made clear on what happens if you don't connect your console within 24 hours?

Not the one to preach any conspiracies but does it look like to you guys, that somebody ordered one Microsoft bankrupt with fries?

Seriously,

Windows 8 sucks balls,
Visual Studio 2012 sucks balls (VS2010 was awesome, mind you!)
They removed DirectX SDK libraries support for C# a while back,
Their "Metro" interface looks like balls,
Xbox dOne sucks balls,
Windows Phone sucks balls, though not as hard but it might as well be on it's way.

I'd understand that if they had no competition in any of these fields, they could do whatever the heck they want. We've seen it happen. But it's obvious that they are going to lose huge market to competition if they continue ridiculous cr*p like this.

Business analysts and people who are generally good with concept of "money" go to schools and learn some highly advanced stuff like market trends so sh*t EXACTLY like this doesn't happen.

So what the hell?

I'm wondering about the every 24 hours thing myself. Maybe it only has to do with playing your games at a friends house. Either way, the mic and camera will be disabled if I ever get the new Xbox. Hell, maybe I'll just put a picture of me naked in front of the camera so that is all they see.

Just imagine. Hackers will hack the consoles and watch everyone and hear anything. That day will arrive soon
