World Cup Thread!

Hi All,

Well it's been another four years since England didn't win the World Cup again so here's a little thread for all you National football team supporters to wish your teams well; tell us who you support now and who you'll be supporting if/when your team goes out; discuss, (discuss not fight about!), matches; and generally follow the, "Beautiful Game".

I know this sport is probably known as, "Soccer", to most of you but here, in this post at least, it will be called, "FOOTBALL"! :na:

I'm not much of a sports fan (golf, nascar, and tennis) but I watched the last few seconds of the Uruguay match and I must say those little buzzing horns are very, very annoying. I think England will probably win tomorrow.

Yes, I hope they get tired of them soon. It was like being in the worlds longest traffic jam!

England to win for me please. If we don't we'll never hear the end of it! Last time we were beaten by the USA was in the 1950 World Cup in Brazil.

I'm so expecting a massive flame if we lose!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!! You will not believe how many arguments with people at my school over me calling it "football". Here football refers to those stupid sports Rugby League/Union and AFL.

The only sport I somewhat follow is football, so I will be following the World Cup closely...sorta

EDIT: Hope Italy doesn't pull a flop if they vs Australia again haha.

I'll update the scoreboard in post #1 with group tables as well as we move forward and if I'm really bored of torching stuff with my 445nm I might even put all the fixtures up so you can keep track of who your team will play next.

Well, we say "Fútbol" here, but if I say Football then I'm gonna get told it's "Soccer".
