well this is my first build so it will do. but thats for the info any info about better ones for future reference would be helpful. because now i've got the charger and batterys for this project all i'll have to do is pick up more batterys.

You can contact LarryDFW on this forum or this is where I got my Sanyo 2600mA batteries & they last days in my 1W 445 ;)
Genuine SANYO 18650 2600mAh Rechargeable Battery - Red (Pair) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
They seem legit too but they took long to get here but it was a good deal :D

yeah that doesnt seam to be a bad deal. do the humps on the possitive side stick up good. i've seen where people had to add extra solder to make them work better on some brands.

I've never had problems with them, but I always put a couple mm solder on my contact board also, but it sticks up a bit :)

hey anthot, i was just checking out you link in your sig for the module and seen that guy sells both boost drivers and linear drivers for a good price. if i went with one of his boost drivers i would be able to run one of my battery's and be able to power my laser right? just as long as i set it up correctly by running a test load adjusting my petentiometer and getting my 200-250mA. this would make it easier so i could run it in about any size host.

Lol that guy is me :D

Sorry the boost is for any diode that takes 4V + to run smoothly ( maybe would work for 3.8V) It won't work with red :(

But you should stick with the linear I have in stock now too! :D you can use 2 18650's that you got & it will run your red perfectly :)
The linears are 7.20$ with the forum discount :)

So I just might do that. Didnt know it was you selling those things. That's a good price I'm sure I've got that much if not more into the parts already to build the lm317 and am not positive I wouldn't screw it up putting it together. Any difference between you your selling and what I'm trying to make besides being much more smaller, and being able to power it up a little higher if I turn the petentiometer up. I'm shoot for like 200-250mA for my laser.:D

Well mine is smaller but other then that it's a bit more efficient then the LM317 ;)

Whatever you chose to do is perfectly fine :)

Canada posts estimate is 4-6 days :) I just usually say 1-2 weeks because most of the time that's what ends up happening :p

Well I'm in port Huron Michigan which is right on the us Canada boarder. So it is probably going to be quick depending how far you are into Canada. I'm literally like 2 miles from Canada.

I'm in Montreal or about 1 hour and a half from the US border into Vermont. Usually packages from me get to the east of US quick but it's the west & southwest especially that's long :p it's actually my first time shipping to Michigan so hopefully it gets to you quick :D

Anthony will treat you right ;) Pretty fast shipping from Canada in my experiences with him.

So make sure to take plenty of photos when building. If anything goes wrong, post 'em here and we'll try to troubleshoot with you!
