Here's a nice simple Mec mod conversion that does 1.2w and has changeable
Barrels for a 18650 or a 18350

Aluminium heat sink was pressed in with a vice very tight.

The Flexdrive V5 was set to 1.4a and with thermal adhesive heat sinked to the inside of the sink

Very simple build, I'm waiting on more G2s so the 2 element glass red lens has a bit of splash. With the 3 element to much power loss and still not that great.

I really like them long brass lasers like Sanwu and others so I had to build one.

Nowhere near as high quality but it will do.

my calibrated tec based LPM shows 1.22w on a full charge.

Hope the pics come out ok some just won't stay at 800-600 they change to
450-600 I've tried many different apps.

Thanks for looking!

Yes mate I'm sure that's normal for 1.4a I have another with a AMC driver at 1.4a and that is also 1.22, I have a tec based LPM calibrated with a PLTB520b1 that Jordan LPMd for me before shipping, check out my $80 LPM build!

Do the photos not show how powerful that beam is!

My coating on my Tec might not be 100% linear for green and for red, but I'm posting my build results, not competing with most powerful Mitts!
Thanks for checking it out though!

I just noticed you said this in another thread, is it that hard to believe!

Re: Sanwu Spiker Series lasers: 1 Watt 520nm and 638nm

Very nice review. Are you sure about the current draw on the 635nm laser? At 1 watt, it should be drawing at least 1.2 amps. I'm curious how you determined current with a multi-meter while the...

No, I have a 635nm 1+ watt myself. I was just not used to seeing these meter out above 1.1 watts. Did you use a Mits or an Oclaro diode? If Jordan did the calibration, I'm sure it's as accurate as it can be with the coating you have on it.

Oh. How embarrassing. It's a Mitsubishi. Yeah, just haven't seen these output above 1.1 watts, but I never did run one up until it died. They are cheap now, but a couple years ago they were twice as much. I haven't bought any since then.

Actually both mitts I have arnt new builds they have been going strong for 10 months now. If you do a search you will find many doing 1.2w and over mate!

Hi BBB,Great build like the mod with a Mitsu i also have a few builds with the Mitsu and they to are over 1W . Hey what species is your parrot? I have a yellow naped Amazon

Awesome build!
Did the pill come with the Mod? Battery spring and all?
And what did your heatsink measure out to be, 20mmDiameter?
Cheers for the post!

No only extension tube comes with the Caravela, when I did this build I didn't have a lathe so the alloy heatsink was reduced on the drill press to fit tight, the pill was just some tube part with thread I had laying around that fit nicely, very simple build!

I used a 5-mode amc7135 driver- and I killed a 500mw misu diode after 5 minutes -I do not understand why, can you explain me?
The current I give it is 1.2a-4 pcs
Amc 7135-5 mode
