correct a single 638nm diode would be brighter.

but dont forget tight beams look just as bright as fatter beams.

with that setup i made combine two using a cobe and you have 2watts of 660 in a tight 3mm by 3mm @ 1mR beam ;)

viasho is generally accepted to be one of the better laser module manufacturers... looking at the specs its got a large beam & divergence, but thats to be expected from a 635nm laser...

I would look at laserwave also I have been happy with the modules I have gotten from them

heres the 635nm modules from their US reseller I have used

https://www.ctlasers.com/purchases/635nm-diode-modules-c-21_22.html

(note: I have no affiliation to laserwave or CT Lasers besides customer)

thoughts on this laser? Are the specs good for a laser projector?

products

that beam isnt to bad to be honest, my old 635nm lasever had a beam of 5mm by 8mm at apeture.

just for your into i could build a custom 1watt of 660 with a tight beam for £250.

I am deacuerdo with flecom I have a red unit ttl of 900mw and great the square divergence is of 5x6mm usually is something, with touch are never overlapped well, but to the 100%
