So here's my third laser. They seem to keep getting better every time I make one I was actually able to make a step on my heatsink even though I did it by hand. Thanks Jayrob for finding such a nice host for greens. Sorry if I bypassed you and made my own. :shhh: +rep

Cam, I really want to know how long it took you to grind that heat sink down, and what did it start as?

It started as 1" aluminum extruded rod and took 4 hours with quite a few breaks in between so it could have been way shorter.

Great. I bet this build feel even better that you made the heatsink on your own. With just your hands.

Pretty good for just using hand tools.

Thanks :D yup it feels pretty good to just use a drill, hacksaw, hand file, and some sand paper

Almost like when i am polishing. Takes forever to do but when its done it feels good.:D Although iam using a Polishing wheel it still takes hours to complete. I could just put it in a tumbler but there is no fun in that.:p
