I took a look at your site and quite frankly this picture scares me:



I see bits of flexible pcb that have been torn off, I see solder everywhere, and I see that the diode isn't fully pressed into the module. Also, I understand you need to make a few bucks for your time and effort, but your prices still seem really high; Even with your constant "sales".

Just saying...

Yea totally I agree with that the prices are high. I know everyone likes money, lol but it seems like he is trying to make alot of profit off people that don't know any better. I guess it is debatable whether that is wrong to do, but no one is obligated to buy form him.

For all people that like lasers, have cash, yet have no technical experience; this is a win win win

The prices aren't too high - Where else could you get a aixiz module for under $4 shipped? And also, spirorocks is selling his 803Ts for $25, and senkat sells them for $32 here:

Thanks for letting me know. I agree, that is a pretty ugly picture of the pins. I've started to harvest the diodes without a soldering gun now by carefully picking away all the pcb ribbon and it looks much cleaner, and the diodes perform better because no heat is used.

TheMonk just sent me a new diode pressing tool which is amazing, every diode gets a perfect press now and goes in flush or more than flush with the module.


long story short, I'll take another picture when I go back on Sunday.

and as others said, I'm not making anyone buy from me. I try to give the best customer service possible, ship items quickly, and have a reliable inventory (when you need an item, I'll almost always have it in stock). Also I don't charge shipping.. which for international customers can save them some $$.

yea that's true. and he sells the bare sleds with all the optics in it for 2$ shipped. that's a steal if you want some optics to combine beams.

yea that's true. and he sells the bare sleds with all the optics in it for 2$ shipped. that's a steal if you want some optics to combine beams. [/quote]

I'll send anyone that wants some sleds however many they want for the cost of shipping (usually $2 for 1, for 10 its about $6, so order 3 if you want a bunch of sleds). link to the empty sled

I was playing with some of the optics in there a couple days ago and got the Blu Ray beam splitter cube out which is really neat. I want to figure out a neat way to use all these beam splitters, any ideas?
I was thinking of trying to design a dual spirograph using one of these splitters.. or maybe 5, it'd be neat to bend the light around and turn it back to going parallel with the original beam, would make some cool designs on the wall  

just ordered a batch of them they come with everything except the diode right?

I would have bought the rest of the 10-15 sled packages if I knew how many are left.

I should have at least 10 to send you if you want to buy like 3 to cover the shipping (if international, buy 4 and it will cover it).

I have a few LPC815 empty sleds if anyone wants those as well, just let me know in the comments when ordering the PHR803T sled.
