It has been posted quite a few times on the Forum.....

If you want a Bargain then Order From DX and don't expect your total order before 30-60 days
Remember the shipping is FREE... so if they want to send your order by Rowboat... that's their
choice...

On the other hand if you need some thing FAST and price is not an issue... be prepared to pay
premium prices for products and Shipping from somewhere in your own continent...
You can usually get Ultra Fast Shipping for the next day...

well focalprice offers free shipping and they shipped my green laser the next day.

in fact, lots of stores offer 'free shipping', it's just included in the price.. look at ebay, tons of people say 'free shipping' but they dont wait a week before shipping your products.. if they do, they usually receive negative feedback.

hey if you guys are content waiting a month or two for stuff you ordered, all the power to ya... im way too impatient for that. i'm used to amazon, zappos, ebay, etc where people dont laze around and take their sweet time putting your order together and ship it when they feel like.

i've never really had bad luck with dx shipping. every time ive ordered something from them, they shipped it out within 2 days of me ordering. then it takes about 7-8 days for me to get it (not bad for china shipping to usa). ive never ordered a laser or anything like that off of dx though, so i dont know if that has anything to do with it. just ds accessories, gifts for my cousins (keychains as stocking stuffers were a hit this year!), etc.

I too like fast shipping, and have even purchased services like Amazon Prime to get stuff even quicker. However, when it comes to DX, their prices are extremely low, they have a very good selection, good customer service, free shipping, and rarely is the stuff I buy from them time-sensitive. Some of the stuff they sell you just can't get over here, especially for cheap. Stuff like their LED flashlights, lighters, LED parts, etc. you just don't find here. They were also one of the few sources to buy powerful lasers at low prices.

One trick with them: buy certain items one at a time so they ship them separately instead of waiting for one last rare item that is holding up the whole order.

thats true about dx...they take ages to do stuff, but for the prices i personally cant complain.

but have you noticed, when ever u send them a serious email about, "hey, what up with my stuff", i always get a response, "heyyy...do you want a refund?"

so i always shut it let them take their time.

to be picky, i have to complain about their packaging....

as the above post, but items one at a time so it gets shipped out faster

Yeah... that's a good idea BB... since they don't give combined Shipping discounts
anyway (hard to discount Free Shipping).... ;)

I ordered one of those 5mw green modules on the 6th or March, and it's still on backorder. I don't mind tho, I just bought it cause I could :p

The saying "Don't buy anything from DX if you NEED it" is a good one ;D

It took my ultrafire light 7 days to ship, and 9 for my batteries, I just contacted DX on a complaint and they seemed to ship it out faster because that was the same day i complained that they shipped it out. Maybe it arrived...Maybe they forgot and needed a reminder, Hard telling about DX.

I think you're on to something there... I placed another order a few days later for 1 cree host, that's it. 2 days later it's status has changed to 'Order Received - in stock'. So I guess something in the previous order was holding things up....

I guess from now on I'll just place multiple orders.... seems to work better. Thanks for the tip.

They canceled one of my order and in my next package i had a keychain light, LOL?

Never had a problem with combined shipping. If there is something that is going to take more time to get they always send what they have first. I love DX. Most of the time the package is at my door in under 10 days. And if its late I just remind myself how much money I saved.

Well they'll ship out stuff separately if the delay becomes ridiculous, but sometimes that one item will hold up the entire order because they don't want to use two packages.

Sometimes I prefer not having the registered airmail since I always miss the mailman and have to wait another two days to get the package from needing to sign for it. Of course it is always on a Friday or Saturday this happens so it's 3 days.

I love the free shipping. I don't feel bad at all just ordering some random thing on a whim because like Laserbee says, no discounts are applied for larger orders.

Finally, their site is just great. Good photos, forums, user reviews (with no bad-review censoring), photos/videos by users, wishlists, even DX points (which can be applied to any product). I wish other sites were just as good.

I ordered a bunch of batteries on the 13th of march, and they still havent shipped :mad: Slow is an understatement :p
