Deciding between 2 lasers, the New cute pocket Green laser 200mW /adjustable [OLCGL200] - $146.00 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products or the www.rayfoss.com ?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of difference other than that i don't like the O-like host as it might roll and also i'm not a fan of the clicky on/off switch on the end, on the other hand the FLX has a key lock the switch is where i like it the host is nice. The only thing pushing me away from Rayfoss is the negative reviews of the company lately.

Is the switch a toggle on the FLX?
Do they have aperture shutters? Looking at the picture of the FLX it looks like it does, cant tell with the cute.

From what i have heard around the forums, rayfoss isnt doing so well right now after the holidays, if you want to go rayfoss, wait for a bit and hope the mess clears up

I would go with o-like. Rayfoss took about a month to ship, and they forgot to include the charger they promised as compensation.

I'm new here and was planning on ordering the rayfoss RF532-100mW-B03 but now that I'm hearing they are going downhill I'm not sure if I should buy it. What has been going downhill, the quality of the lasers? I emailed Faona and she emailed back within 12 hours and the customer service if great.

Rayfoss gets rejected skylasers products.
O-like is pretty good but they mixed up my order, albeit better product still...

I got that Rayfoss one around August time, works perfect for me, but they seemed to have gone downhill after I got mine and that one doesn't have an aperture shutter. I havn't heard of anyone else with problems with that particular model but it's up to you :) good luck with your buy !!!

I have been hearing some mixed impressions of Rayfoss lately, but IMO O-like is sounding worse. I got my laser early this summer, and as a company RF was really great. They may have changed since then, but the shipping time was normal, and the customer service and response time was excellent. Personally I like them better than O-like as a company. The laser is fine, although there are a couple of minor things that bother me about it. If I had to choose now, I'd say go with RF and don't get the FLX.

Care to point me in the direction of what's making it sound worse? I've only seen RF bashing threads in the last month, aside from the thread in companies about money going to someone else :thinking:

Ordering the cute in the next couple weeks so I'll post a review when I get it :)

To me it sounds like Rayfoss has just been iffy because of the recent holiday, suppliers to rayfoss might be what the problem is because Rayfoss has some of the best customer support, and they still do.
If you check the rayfoss bashing threads most of them still include something about how Faona gave them a new laser even after they voided the laser

I've never actually bought anything from Rayfoss myself, but I vote O-like because I have bought 10-20 lasers from them in the past and they have always had great service, even no-questions-asked returns when there were nothing wrong with the lasers involved.

Just in general around the forum I feel like O-like has sort of a bad reputation surrounding it the way people talk about it. And I read about several people sending modules back, and one person having to go through a few before he got a good one. Maybe they're getting better, or maybe I'm the only one who's feeling that way. I really want to recommend O-like, and it used to be an outstanding company, but I just can't bring myself to recommend it to people with all that I've heard in the last few months.

Does anyone know if the quality of the laser is really poor, like it cannot light matches burn tape ect.., will they send you a new one or are you just stuck with what you have?

I don't know which company you're talking about, but the two mentioned in this thread will both let you return the laser for a new one.

Also new to this forum, been into lasers for years and have almost always had bad luck with suppliers. I ordered a 1W 445nm from olike, and a 200mw fgb from rayfoss within two days of eachother. I've been notified by email that the o-like order has shipped out. The rayfoss order hasnt been confirmed as shipped, but I'm hopeful. We'll see what happens

Welcome to the forum, It will ship I've never seen any issues with rayfoss not shipping, go introduce yourself in the welcome section!

Edit: I think I'm going to have to go with Rayfoss I was about to order my cute but then i saw the dimensions :|

11cm is tiny my hand is almost bigger than that and I'm 13, so the hunt begins again >.< I really didn't actually look at the dimensions till now on anything they really are quite small cute it is.
