LOL, funny image.

To support my claim, I present proof: Me.
What you consider "spoonfeeding" is what I had a lot of in my starting days.

If everybody told me to go and read or search for myself (on a public forum full of people who have the knowledge I need) I'd probably have given up on the hobby looong ago.

Why not give them the answer AND show them where to find it, then they might have a better understanding on how to find stuff for the future !

You guys are worried about the new noobs, but what about all the noobs that have become vets in the past month or two, not due to skill or reputation, but inflated post count due to saying the same thing over and over and contributing practically nothing?

Alot of them have posted in this thread and want to start this noob team, thats one of the funniest parts of it.

This is why I have mostly just lurked the past 2 or so years. You guys are all so dramatic, and there's too much tension all the time.

Lol, there is some irony in this situation, but you need to be a member for a year min to become a vet.

This is what I was trying to say and man you have hit it.

A 3 month posting warrior makes a vet not.

Look guys we are one big family, we should all be looking out for each other. We nust welcome the noobs because if we don't, then we would be inbred :p

Please don't go back into the shadows, you are good to have around. You are strong headed which is a good atribute, eud is polite, gun is creative, etc. We are all different but equal and we are all here for 1 thing... to learn and grow.

Look, as far as I am aware, there were two members who were allowed to become vets in less than a year. I am one of them. There was some confusion about the rules, temporarily, and the issue has been addressed. Avery allowed me to join veteran status not because I am a "posting warrior", which is insulting, but because of a screwup.

The characterization that there is a flood of noob members who slipped into veteran status, and now are being a bunch of whiny bitches, is insulting and inaccurate.

The issue that was brought up here is not even remotely related to that situation, and I am fairly certain the the "noob vets" have not created a dearth of threads about their broken WL lasers, how many balloons we can pop, and the like.

If someone has a problem with me being a veteran, take it up with Avery, rather than post after passive aggressive post about how unfair it is. It was his decision.

Avery allowed me to join veteran status not because I am a "posting warrior", which is insulting, but because I am a contributing member, who asks intelligent questions, contributes to conversations, goes out of my way to maintain a huge thread for the forum, and because I have a record of helping people out when they need it.

When did I say anyone was a whiny b**ch. That's a bit inappropriate and untrue.

Seems like your taking this way too personally, while I do include you in this group of people, I am talking about a larger group of people, not all even in the vets section yet, but are treated as having veteran experience, and noobs listen to them because of it, and sometime this group of people is dead wrong on the info they give to noobs, or just posts the same things over and over again to gain post count.

I AM NOT saying that none of your posts contribute something, you have definitely contributed the most out of this group, but can you really say it was necessary to make a thread to say your driving around with your lasers, or to tell us how bored you are with making lasers, as an example. And ya I know, this is the part where you will say, its an open discussion forum and I can talk about what I please, but if it were a noob making some dumb thread, I know you would jump all over it, I've seen it.

Is that a little less passive aggressive and more direct enough for you sir?
